NNL 24: Madiba FC Defeats Rovers FC To Maintain Top Position

Madiba FC defeated Rovers FC 2-0 in the Nigeria National League Southern Conference Group A for Match Day 9 at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The first half witnessed both teams high spirits for goal-scoring, yet the defenses of both squads stood strong, intensifying the tension among supporters.

It was until the 40th minute that Egbonwon Harrison opened the goal net for Madiba FC with a brilliant header from the free kick taken by Oladunjoye Shola.

In an effort to strengthen the lead in the second half, key substitutions were made, introducing Aliu Solomon, Ndubuisi Anthony, Isah Mohammed, and Fadeyi Sunday.

In the 78th minute, Aliu Solomon of Madiba FC shone by extending his team's lead, completely thwarting Rovers FC's efforts.

Madiba FC maintains the top spot on the league table with 22 points. In the upcoming weekend, the Oshodi Boys will travel to Uyo for their Match Day 10 encounter with Vandrezzer FC.
