Technical Adviser of Sokoto United, Peter Ajeni has expressed excitement to pick his first league victory of the season with his side, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Sokoto United kicked off their 2024/2025 NNL campaign with a resounding 2-0 victory over Jigawa Golden Star FC at the Giginya Memorial Stadium, Sokoto.

He attributed the victory to hard work and prayers saying: "We are delighted with the win, and it's a testament to the team's hard work and dedication. We also thank God for the victory."

The Caliphate Boys dominated possession from the outset, creating numerous scoring opportunities throughout the encounter. 

Ishaku Jibrin's impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award, having provided an assist in the game.
