Dakkada FC walked over 1472 FC of Lagos on Friday afternoon in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, in their last match of the first stanza of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League, NNL, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2019 NNL champions turned up at the stadium at the stipulated 1:30pm reporting time, had their pre-match warm-up and licence inspection, and when the time came, they were led in procession to the turf by the match officials and ball boys.

After the match, officials and Dakkada players spent about thirty-five minutes on the field, with the ball on the centre spot, referee Kelechi Nnaji of Enugu Referees Council performed walk-over formalities and sounded his whistle to pull the curtain on the day's events and hand the hosts three points and three goals.

When 1472 failed to put in an appearance at the technical meeting in the morning without communication, it was hoped that they would show up before kick-off later in the afternoon, but unfortunately, they did not.

The result culminates in fourteen points from ten matches for Dakkada and leaves 1472 anchoring the Conference-A standings with four points as the first stanza of the campaign ends for both sides.
