NNL 25: Draw Against Sporting Supreme Not Bad Result, Says Basira Gaffer

FC Basira head coach, Aminu Musa has disclosed that he was a little disappointed with the point his side picked against Sporting Supreme FC of Abuja in match day two NNL game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a brief chat with the media shortly after the game, Musa, however, said he was grateful not to leave the Bwari Township Stadium empty-handed.

"It was a very good game despite the fact it ended in a draw. I was highly impressed as my boys played well and yielded to instructions.

"We came here with all hopes of securing the maximum points because we are family with this ground. Nonetheless, a point away from home is still a great result, especially coming from a team that won its first game of the season away from home."

Despite dominating in the early stages of the game, the home side stunned FC Basira with a 50th-minute lead when Ibrahim Maaneh put them ahead with a delicate finish, but 12 minutes later, Igbudu Alpha scored with a fine finish to salvage a point for FC Basira.

Next will be a date with Gombe State-based Doma FC at the Lafia City Stadium.
