Head Coach of high-flying Kun Khalifat FC, Obinna Uzoho, has expressed excitement following his award as the best coach in the 2024/25 NNL season for the month of February, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

He stated this during the third awards ceremony organized by the management of the second-tier of Nigeria’s domestic football in Abuja on Tuesday.

"First and foremost I give God all the glory for His blessings upon my career as a coach. It wouldn’t have been possible without his grace and mercies.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude to the President of the club, Michael Chukwudi Amaefula for giving me this opportunity to work as a coach in this wonderful club.

"I also thank the General Manager, Charles Nnadi and the management team. In a very special way, I want to commend my technical crew and my players for their commitment and dedication.

"Their solid performance helped us go unbeaten in the month of February. Let me also use this opportunity to say a special thank you to my family for all the encouragement I have received and continue to receive. The support of my wife and kids has been massive and I don’t take it for granted.

"This award is an indication of the amazing support of our fans, at home and away. Everything that the players do on the pitch, at home and away from home, is because of you, our great fans. The extra runs, the extra tackles, the goals, the saves, everything is because of you. I cannot thank you enough for your support, this award is for you.

"Thank you all so much for believing in me. Without your support, this award will not come through. It is a call for us to do more at Kun Khalifat FC."
