NNL 26: Sporting Lagos Announces New Head Coach

Ahead of the commencement of the 2025/26 Nigeria National League, NNL, season, Sporting Lagos has announced the appointment of Jeffrey Buter as its new head coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Buter took over from Shola Adegun, who departed the team for NPFL side, Plateau United is expected to lead the Lagos-based side back to Nigeria's top-flight division.

Confirming the appointment, the club said, "Coach Jeff joined in 2023 as Academy assistant coach and played a key role in our 2024 Gothia Puma Trophy win. He stepped up to the first team last season as assistant coach and now takes the helm as Head Coach.

"He holds English FA and Scottish FA licenses and is currently completing his UEFA C license."
