NNL Banishes Malumfashi FC From Abubakar Labbo Stadium Over Misconduct of Supporters, Other Heavy Sanctions

The Nigeria National League, NNL, has banished Malumfashi FC from its home ground at the Abubakar Labbo Stadium over the misconduct of their supporters in the game with Sokoto United, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

This was contained in the letter addressed to the concerned clubs, signed by the NNL Chief Operating Officer, Ayo Abdulrahman, following an emergency meeting of the Disciplinary Committee of the NNL on the incidence of the inconclusive match between Malumfashi and Sokoto United.

According to NNL; "That Malumfashi FC is hereby fined the sum of One Million naira only for causing disturbances during the said match.

"That in line with Article 15.10.1, Malumfashi FC is hereby fined the sum of five hundred thousand naira only for being responsible for the match not being completed for the statutory 90 minutes. 

"That Malumfashi FC shall pay compensation for the following: The sum of 215,000 that forcefully transferred by the referees to Malumfashi FC officials. 

"3 missing mobile Telephones sets at 50,000 each - 150,000. Damaged bag with personal belongings and referees uniforms - 100,000. Medical treatment for the injured Sokoto United official - 50,000.

"That Abubakar Labbo Stadium, Malumfashi is no longer safe to host NNL matches, therefore the stadium is hereby banned from hosting any NNL match henceforth. 

"That Malumfashi FC is hereby banished to Kaduna to play their remaining league matches. That the remaining 45 minutes shall be played in Kaduna at a given date. 

"That the Chairman of Malumfashi FC, Alh. Seraju Baba is hereby banned from participating in all football activities for 3 months forthwith. That Sokoto United shall cater for their logistics of the replay."
