NNL Board Confirms Dakkada FC Exit

The board of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has confirmed the withdrawal of Dakkada FC from the country’s second-tier football competition, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Uyo-based club last week announced its decision to withdraw from the 2024/2025 league season.

However, the official acknowledgement from the NNL board came on Tuesday, confirming that the club’s notification had been formally received.

Dakkada, formerly a Nigerian Premier League side, had been battling administrative and financial challenges following their relegation from the top division.

The league body is expected to issue further directives on how the withdrawal will affect the group standings and fixture adjustments for the ongoing season.
