NNL Board Demands Suitable Match Venues For Clubs Ahead of New Season

As the new 2023/2024 season beckons, the Nigeria National League (NNL) has requested participating clubs to submit preferred and alternative stadium(s) for their home matches.

The NNL directive is that all forty (40) participating teams for the new season have until next week to comply with the instruction.

The Chief Operational Officer of the NNL, Mr.Emmanuel Adesanya, while speaking to NNL media, says the stadium(s) must reflect required standard as spelt out in the rule book of the league.

Adesanya explained that requirements like good dressing rooms with toilets, showers and bathing facilities with recovery areas, good playing pitch, safety and security are key.

Other requirements are perimeter fencing, adequate media and medical facilities.

He however disclosed that clubs have been sent circulars in this regard and any that facility which falls short of the required demands will not be approved.
