NNL Give Reasons Why Weekend Matches Were Postponed

Our Reporter

The Secretariat of the Nigeria National League (NNL) has communicated to clubs that there will be no matches played this weekend, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The postponement is with the view to allow clubs ample time to travel back and settle down ahead of their next fixtures and to avoid fatigue, following the sudden change of the midweek games pushed to Thursday 14 July,2022 as a result of envisaged late arrivals of match officials.

A new date will be duly announced soon for match days twenty three(23), twenty two (22) and seventeen (17) .

As it stands there are two more games to go in groups A1, A2, and B1 while, B2 has four more matches to end.

Meanwhile, Doma United Football Club of Gombe and Bendel Insurance of Benin look comfortable at the top of Groups A2 and B1, with vantage margins of 46 and 36 points, to pick two out of the four available NNL promotion tickets to the Nigeria Professional Football league (NPFL).
