NNL Raises Stakes with ₦16m Prize Pool For Super Four Tournament

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has reinforced its rising profile with a high-profile Super Four draw ceremony held in Lagos, where a significant financial boost for participating clubs was unveiled, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
At the event, Chief Executive Officer of Toptier Sports Management, Chichi Nwoko, announced that the winners of the 2026 NNL Super Four tournament will receive a cash prize of ₦10 million, while the three other competing teams will each earn ₦2 million.
The ceremony attracted leading figures from Nigeria’s football and sports administration circles. Among those in attendance were the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Bukola Olopade; President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Musa Gusau; and Chairman of Remo Stars F.C., Kunle Soname.
Former Nigerian internationals also added prestige to the occasion, including Victor Ikpeba and Daniel Amokachi, underscoring the growing importance of the league. The event was held at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja.
Speaking during the ceremony, Nwoko emphasized the league’s ambition to raise standards and competitiveness through improved incentives. She stated that the prize structure reflects a commitment to rewarding excellence and enhancing the appeal of the competition.
The NNL Super Four tournament is scheduled to take place from May 4 to May 8, 2026, at the Remo Stars Stadium.

With a total prize pool of ₦16 million at stake, alongside the prestige of emerging as NNL champions, the tournament is expected to deliver a highly competitive and entertaining spectacle.
