NNL Round-Up: ABS FC Returns To Winning Ways As Kun Khalifat Opens Six-Point Lead

Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin Football Club secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Sporting Lagos FC in their Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday 15 encounter at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbow George Innih Stadium in Ilorin, Kwara State.

After a goalless first half, ABS Ilorin FC's persistence paid off when substitute Boluwatife Ajina scored the decisive goal in added time.

Ajina tapped in a pass from Ayoku Abdulrahman, sending the Ilorin fans into wild celebrations.

The win marked a much-needed return to winning ways for ABS Ilorin FC, who had gone without a victory in their last three games.

Elsewhere, Kun Khalifat FC opened a six-point lead in the Southern Conference B after securing a 2-2 draw with Gateway United.

The Pride of Imo State have now won 9 matches, drew 3 and lost 1; having scored 18 goals and conceded 8.

Abakaliki FC defeated First Bank FC by a lone goal while Edel FC held Inter Lagos to a 1-1 draw away from home.

Other results include; Barau FC 2-0 Gombe United, Adamawa United 3-1 Doma United, Mighty Jets FC 1-2 Jigawa Golden Stars, Crown FC 2-0 Smart City FC, Godswill Akpabio FC 2-2 Rovers FC.
