Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri extended their unbeaten run to five matches in the ongoing 2024/2025 Nigeria National League, NNL, season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Pride of Owerri defeated Sporting Lagos 2-1 in a thrilling match day five encounter decided at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Owerri to maintain their lead on the log with 13 points in the Southern Confrence Group B. 

Goals from Julius Jeremiah and Ahiaeke Chijioke gave the hosts the maximum points while Kingsley Goddey scored for the visitors from the spot. 

Elsewhere, Abia Comets defeated Ijele FC 2-1 to secure their second away win of the season. 

The Umuahia based side top the Southern Conference Group A with 11 points after three wins and two draws. 

Another away win was recorded in Ogun State as Solution FC beat Gateway United 3-2 while Abakaliki FC got the better of Rovers FC 1-0. 

Other results include; Crown FC 1-0 Dakkada FC, Barau FC 1-0 Sokoto United, Mighty Jets FC 2-0 Gombe United, ABS Ilorin FC 2-1 Godswill Akpabio FC.
