Sporting Lagos secured the bragging rights over Gateway United in the South-West derby with a comfortable 2-0 win in the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League, NNL, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Lagos based side defeated their Ogun counterparts in a thrilling encounter at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in the Southern Confrence Group B. 

Kun Khalifat FC of Owerri continued their impeccable form by securing a crucial away draw against Rovers FC of Calabar while Abia Comets drew with Warri Wolves in Umuahia. 

Smart City overpowered Beyond Limits 2-0 as Igbajo United and Ijele FC ended goalless. 

Edel FC returned to winning ways after defeating 1472 FC while Solution FC beat First Bank 2-0. Godswill Akpabio United recorded an emphatic 3-1 win over Madiba FC.

In the Northern Conference Group C, Mighty Jets secured a valuable 1-0 away win over Jigawa Golden Stars while Basira FC and Kebbi United shared the spoils.

Sokoto United got the better of Zamfara United 3-1 while Sporting Supreme FC beat Kada Warriors 2-0.
