NNL Super 4: Bayelsa State Governor Praises Organiser, Commend Officiating

Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has heaped praises on the organiser of the Nigeria National League Super 4 and he further commended the level of officiating in the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Bayelsa State staged the Super 4 tournament with home club Bayelsa United, Bendel Insurance, El-Kanemi Warrior and Doma United in action.

Insurance of Benin emerged as the winner of the competition with Bayelsa United finishing in the second position after they defeated El-Kanemi 2-0.

The governor said if the officiating issues can be resolved, Nigeria football will witness rapid growth and development.

"I'm happy with the level of officiating, I have been around football for quite some time not when I became Commissioner for Sports but long before them.

"One of Nigeria's major problems in football has been officiating and from what I saw today, the players are beginning to have solutions.

"I want to commend the referee and the assistant referees for what they have done so far and I want the NNL to keep it up.

"The moment we solved the issues of officiating in Nigeria football, the sky will not be our limit, there are talents in this country", he said.
