NNL Super 8: William Sunday targets Promotion Ticket For Kano Pillars

William Sunday has assured passionate fans of Kano Pillars that he will give his best and help the team earn a promotion ticket at the end of the Super 8 playoff in Asaba, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

A cool finish early in the second half from William ensured Kano Pillars earned its first three points of the Nigeria National Super 8 play-off.

"I can't expressed how delighted I was after scoring the goal which turned out to be the winning goal," said William Sunday.

"It was a tough game against EFCC, but we needed to give our best in the second half after it ended goalless in the first 45minutes. Credit to the team as we played according to our coaches instructions.

"The victory is the Kano State government and indeed the fans have they have provided a working environment for us to succeed and likewise motivating the team throughout the season for us to gain promotion to the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).

Ahead the next game against DMD FC, the Sai Masu Gida, "We are taking the matches as they come, I except a different ball game from our next opponent after they lost their first game to Katsina United."

Despite scoring the first goal in the NNL Super 8 playoff, William says his personal target is to secure promotion for Kano Pillars and that call only be done scoring goals.

"I want to reassure our fans that nothing will come short of a promotion ticket at the end of the playoffs, as we shall all celebrate.

"Just as they did during the regular season, they must keep believing in the team."
