NNL24 : Abia Comets Coach Reveals Team's Readiness For new season

Abia Comets FC Assistant head coach, Chinedu Obasi has revealed the team's readiness ahead of 2023/24 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The Umuahia based NNL side thrashed Igho Football Academy of Sepele 8-0 on Friday, in a friendly match for the league preparatory ahead of the new football season. 

While speaking shortly after the encounter, Chinedu expressed praised the performance of the players, but said they can improve better. 

" It's a good game for us, " Chinedu said. 

" Because, we are preparation for the new season. However we need this sort of games to see the level of preparations of the boys and also their fitness level."

" So far it been good, and I think we are on the right track to the philosophy of the team and how we want to play."

The former Jewel Football Academy head coach expressed that even as they scored eight goals in the game, that there is still room for improvement in the team. 

" Yes, even as we scored eight goals in the game, but we still need to see more better and improved performance from the boys. as we continue on our preparation for the new NNL season, which will kickoff very soon, " he concludes. 

Abia Comets will resume their training session on Monday, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, to continue its preparation ahead of League kickoff.
