NOC, NTF Set To Co-Host Taekwondo Coaching Course In Abuja

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and the Nigeria Taekwondo Federation (NTF) are set to jointly host a week-long Technical Coaches’ Course in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Scheduled to run from Sunday, June 22 to Friday, June 28, the programme will take place at the Velodrome in Package ‘A’ of the MKO Abiola National Stadium.

At least 25 coaches from across the country are expected to participate. Arrival is slated for Sunday, with departure scheduled for the final day of the course.

The training targets taekwondo coaches from State Sports Councils, Commissions, and tertiary institutions nationwide.

It forms part of the International Olympic Committee’s global education initiative, facilitated by Olympic Solidarity in partnership with World Taekwondo.

Mr. Tae Sung Kwon, a taekwondo expert from Seoul, South Korea, appointed by the International Federation, will lead the course.

He will be assisted by an interpreter from the Korean Embassy in Abuja to ensure seamless communication throughout the sessions.
