NOC Election Fallout: Group Hails Popoola, Oyedeji On Victory

The President of the NAPHER-SD, Professor Florence Bola Adeyanju on behalf of the national executive and members of the association has congratulated some members of the association who were democratically elected as Executive Members of the Nigeria Olympic Committee in epoch-making elections that took place at Jalingo, Taraba State on 15th, December.
BSNSports.com.ng sourced from a press statement released that members are Mr Tunde Popoola who was elected as Secretary General and Mr Olumide Oyedeji was elected 3rd vice President.
Congratulating NAPHER-SD members, Professor Adeyanju who described the election as peaceful charged them to contribute positively to the upliftment and growth of sports in Nigeria.
"As the ambassadors of NAPHER-SD on the board of NOC, on behalf of the association, I pray God to give the executive members wisdom, enablement and powers to steer the ship of the committee to an enviable status."
Meanwhile, during the same period, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) presented the national President of NAPHER-SD, Professor Florence Bola with the Women and Sports Achievement Diploma, an award in recognition for her outstanding contribution to the development and participation of women and girls in sports.
The presentation was done by the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) Engr. Gumel on behalf of IOC.
Reacting to the award, Professor Florence Adeyanju appreciated the IOC for the recognition and award promising not to relent on oars till women in sports are given recognition and put in their rightful positions in society.
