Bayelsa United have officially unveiled Nigeria Flying Eagles coach Abdul Maikaba as the club's new Technical Adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The experienced tactician takes charge of the Yenagoa-based club as preparations intensify for the new campaign, with the management hoping his wealth of experience will help the team achieve its objectives.

Maikaba, who is currently the head coach of Nigeria's U-20 national team, brings vast experience in the domestic league, having previously managed several top-flight clubs with notable success.

His appointment is expected to strengthen Bayelsa United's technical department as the Prosperity Boys aim for an improved performance in the upcoming NNL season.
