NPFL: Abia Warrior Appoints Erasmus Onu As New Coach

Ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season, Abia Warrior has announced a new head coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abia Warrior adopted Okigwe as their home ground and had to wait till the last day of last season to avoid relegation.

The Umuahia-based club was handled by former Super Eagles assistant coach Imama Amapakabo last season and despite starting the season on a winning note ended the season in 13th position with 50 points from 38 matches.

The management on Tuesday evening announced Erasmus Onu as the new head coach on a 2-year deal.

"Abia Warriors Football Club is delighted to welcome Erasmus Onu as new Head Coach.

"He joins on a two-year contract", the club confirmed.
