The technical adviser of Abia Warriors Erasmus Onu has refused to blame his players for the heavy defeat the team suffered in the hand of Bayelsa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Umuahia-based club capitulated to a 5-1 defeat in Yenogoa with all the goals coming in the first half.

The coach said he will have to go back and watch the game before he can explain what happened to his team.

"In the 30-something years of my coaching career, I have never experienced something like this, I don't know what happened, I will go and watch the video.

"Every foot was wrong, it looks as if it was not Abia Warriors that is playing. I can't blame anyone until I go back to watch the game.

"We played especially in the second half when we put ourselves together despite being a one-man down, you can see the difference, it's very unfortunate that the goal did not come but we tried our best", he stated.
