NPFL: Adepoju Confident Shooting Stars Can Still Secure Continental Spot

Despite a heavy 3-0 defeat to Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, former Shooting Stars midfielder Mutiu Adepoju remains confident that the Oluyole Warriors can still clinch a continental ticket, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Adepoju, who also featured for Spanish side Real Sociedad during his playing career, praised the team's overall performance this season.

 “It’s been a very commendable season for Shooting Stars. At a point, they were second on the table,” he said.

“Unfortunately, they lost some points along the way and dropped to fourth. Still, they’ve done well and are very much in contention for continental qualification.”

Shooting Stars currently occupy 5th place on the NPFL table with 48 points from 33 matches, keeping their hopes of a top finish alive.
