After losing narrowly to Akwa United, manager of Shooting Stars, Edith Agoye has assured the Fans of the team of improved performance in their subsequent Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), BSNsports.com.ng can report.

During a post-match conference, Agoye heaped praises on the players for their response in the second half and the kind of spirit they exhibited in the game.

" It wasn't a bad one, it was a spirited fight most especially in the second half. Normally when you're down with two goals, a lot believe it came to an end but for us, the second goal was the beginning.

"It was very good for one that we came back by scoring and we pushed Akwa United until the end of the game but unfortunately, we couldn't get the equalizing goal."

"It is always important for you to get as many points as possible in your games, we've been unable to do that so far in the second round but we continue to work very hard on the training ground and field of play during the game and definitely if we work hard enough, the situation will change," he said.

The Oluyole Warriors will hope to bounce back strongly when they face Lobi Stars on the matchday 23 next weekend.
