NPFL: Anas Yusuf Sets Sights On Continental Football

Nasarawa United striker Anas Yusuf says his primary ambition is to help the Solid Miners secure a continental ticket at the end of the current Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The prolific forward, who finished as the club’s top scorer last season, was the hero on Sunday after netting a brace in Nasarawa United’s 3-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors in Lafia.

Reacting after the game, Yusuf expressed his delight and reaffirmed his commitment to driving the team towards success.

“I am overjoyed to have scored a brace today. We hope to continue in this form, going forward,” he said. The striker emphasized that all his energy is focused on helping Nasarawa United achieve their ambitions.

“For now, my focus is on Nasarawa United to help them win the league and pick a continental ticket next season,” he added.

Yusuf also appreciated the fans for their unwavering support, promising more hard work and better performances.

“I thank our great supporters and fans who continue to rally around us. We will continue to work hard to reward their support.”

 Nasarawa United currently remains strong contenders in the NPFL title race as they push for a return to continental football.
