NPFL: Bauchi Government Sets Ambitious Target For Wikki Tourists

Following their return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the Bauchi State Government has applauded Wikki Tourists for their promotion and outlined clear goals for the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Bauchi-based club secured promotion after topping Group A in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs.

Speaking on the achievement, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Adamu Babayo Gabarin, declared that the “Bauchi Elephants” are back where they belong.

“This team has all it takes to compete and remain at the top level of Nigerian football, from the coaching staff to the quality of players,” Gabarin said. “We are fully committed to supporting them not just to survive in the NPFL, but to excel.”

Wikki Tourists were relegated to the NNL in 2023 but have now earned a swift return to the top flight.
