Bayelsa United boosted their survival hopes in the Nigeria Premier Football League with a dominant 3-0 win over Shooting Stars at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Goals from Ogba Ifeanyi and Magbisa Wisdom gave the hosts a two-goal cushion in the first half before Kehinde Lawal sealed the victory just a minute into the second half.

The victory extends Bayelsa United’s unbeaten run to seven matches and lifts them from 19th to 13th place on the table, with 45 points from 33 games.

Shooting Stars, meanwhile, stay in fifth position with 48 points from the same number of matches.
