The head coach of Sunshine Stars Kennedy Boboye has attributed their defeat on Wednesday to bad pitch, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Sunshine Stars suffered a massive 3-0 defeat to Kwara United in Ilorin in day 7 of the Nigeria Premier Football League. Boboye complained bitterly about the poor state of the pitch.

"The pitch was part of the problem that affected our playing; not that we are not used to grass but the bone of contention was that the grass was not cut and badly maintained,”Boboye stated in a post-match interview.

“I don’t know how a pitch like that was approved for games and they failed cut it before the match-day.

"The field is over grown, the ball was not moving smoothly but on the contrary Kwara United were unperturbed as they are used to the turf.”
