NPFL: Boboye Confident Akwa United Will Avoid Relegation

Akwa United head coach, Kennedy Boboye, remains confident that his team will avoid relegation at the end of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Currently sitting in 18th place with 38 points from 34 games, the Promise Keepers have recorded 10 wins, eight draws, and 16 losses so far this season.

Despite the precarious position, Boboye believes Akwa United can turn things around by taking advantage of rivals also struggling at the bottom of the table.

“We’ll keep working hard to beat the drop,” Boboye said after their recent victory over Nasarawa United.

“Fortunately, some of our key rivals have dropped points, giving us a chance to make the most of our home games.”
