Akwa United head coach, Kennedy Boboye, has emphasized the importance of his team's victory over Niger Tornadoes, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Promise Keepers boosted their survival hopes on Thursday with a solid 2-0 win against the visiting Tornadoes.

“I want to commend my players for their determination and commitment. Their confidence is growing, and we aim to sustain this momentum in our remaining matches,” Boboye told the club’s media team.

“We are not done yet. This result has lifted us out of the relegation zone, but with seven matches still to go, we must remain focused.

 “Our goal is to secure maximum points in every remaining game. We need to fight for every available point, both at home and away, to achieve our target.”
