Barring any last-minute change, Kennedy Boboye is set to take charge of the Nigeria Premier Football League side Akwa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Promise Keepers has been without a manager since the departure of Mohamed Babaganaru as the club's head coach.

Akwa United has been going through inconsistent performance since the start of the season despite escaping relegation by mere whiskers last season.

The club has concluded an arrangement to name the former League winner as the club coach.

Boboye has been without a club after leaving Sunshine Stars in the past few weeks due to interference.

Akwa United are at the bottom of the NPFL table with 16 points from 17 games.
