NPFL: El-Kanemi Warriors To Play Under Locks And Keys From Fans, As IMC Orders Investigation

El-Kanemi Warrior of Maiduguri will have to make do with their home fans for the next set of their games as the Interim Management Committee( IMC) ordered the closure of their home ground, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Violence broke out on Wednesday in the Matchday 5 fixture of the league after they suffered a 0-1 home defeat to Bendel Insurance.

The football body released a statement on Thursday ordering the closure of the Maiduguri Township Stadium and they further commenced a full investigation into what went wrong.

"The IMC has ordered an indefinite closure of the Maiduguri Township Stadium to fans for El-Kanemi Warriors home fixtures pending an investigation into reported security breaches in the course of their match against Bendel Insurance on Wednesday, February 1", the statement said.
