NPFL: Enyimba Will Not Be Relegated – Deutsch Confident

Head coach of Enyimba International, Emmanuel Deutsch, has expressed strong confidence that the club will retain its status in the Nigeria Premier Football League despite a difficult run of form this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The nine-time league champions suffered a 2-0 defeat to Kano Pillars on Sunday, a result that left them languishing in 16th position on the league table. 

The Aba-based side is currently hovering just above the relegation zone, separated only by goal difference.

The loss marked Enyimba’s 13th of the campaign, underlining what has been a disappointing season for the two-time African champions.

Despite the mounting pressure, Deutsch remains optimistic about his team’s survival chances.

“The plan is for Enyimba to maintain their place in the NPFL. I’m very optimistic about it,” he stated.

Enyimba will now turn their attention to a crucial Abia derby against Abia Warriors on Sunday in Aba, a fixture widely regarded as a must-win as the People’s Elephant continue their fight to avoid relegation.
