NPFL: Ex-Super Eagles Captain Appreciates Kano Government After Season Campaign

Nigeria Premier Football League side Kano Pillars General Manager, Ahmed Musa, has expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government, stakeholders, supporters and sponsors following the completion of the 2025/2026 NPFL season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
In a statement released on Sunday, the former Super Eagles captain thanked Almighty Allah for guiding the club through what he described as a challenging but successful campaign.
Musa stated that despite a difficult start to the season, Kano Pillars showed resilience and determination to secure their NPFL status for another campaign.
“I, Ahmed Musa, MON, OON, the General Manager of Kano Pillars FC, on behalf of the Chairman, Board Members, technical crew, players and our ever passionate supporters, wish to express our profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for guiding us through the successful completion of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League season,” he said.
The Kano Pillars boss specially appreciated the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for its continued support and commitment towards football development in the state.
He also commended the club’s front jersey sponsors, RFI Hausa, for supporting the team’s vision and identity throughout the season.
Musa further extended appreciation to the Kano State Football Association, supporters groups, stakeholders, media partners and football lovers who stood behind the club during the highs and lows of the campaign.
He equally praised the players and technical crew for their sacrifice, commitment and fighting spirit which ensured the club maintained its top-flight status.
Looking ahead to the next campaign, Musa assured supporters that Kano Pillars would return stronger in the 2026/2027 season.
“As we look ahead to the 2026/2027 season, I want to assure all our supporters that a different and stronger Kano Pillars will emerge.
Under my leadership, we will continue to do everything humanly possible to restore and propel the status of this great club to the level it deserves among the elite clubs in Africa,” he added.
