NPFL: Finidi Narrates How His Changes Secured Maximum Points For Rivers United

Finidi George has explained how the changes he made secured full points for Rivers United against Kwara United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pride of Rivers had to come from a goal down to beat the Afonja Warriors 2-1 on Sunday in Port-Harcout.

The former Super Eagles admitted that conceding first really affected them but the substitutions he made swung the game in their favour.

" It's been a long time we scored two goals, after we are down with a goal in the first half, it was a good spirit from the players.

"I told them it was going to be a tough game, last season we failed to beat Kwara United here, so I let them know how difficult the game will be and unfortunately we conceded and we fought back.

"I had to make two quick changes to the team, sometimes it's not easy coming from the bench but I instilled in them a good mindset and we controlled the game.

" It was not a bad result for us and having the 3 points is fair", he said.
