Sampson Adedeji
Former Enyimba and Akwa United forward Mfon Udoh has opened up on his accomplishment as the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) top scorer, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Udoh finished as the league’s leading scorer in both the 2019 and 2024 NPFL seasons making him the first player in history to win the award twice.
Reflecting on his remarkable feat, Udoh described it as humbling and rewarding.
“In 2019, I had the distinct honor of emerging as the joint highest scorer in the Nigerian Professional Football League,” Udoh wrote on his Facebook page.
“It was a truly remarkable and fulfilling moment not just because I finished at the top of the scoring chart once again, but also because I made history by becoming the first player to win the golden boot twice in the league’s history.
“To etch my name into the record books in this way is both humbling and deeply rewarding.”
