NPFL: Gombe United Will Bounce Back Against Insurance- Legbara

Gombe United midfielder, Barry Legbara has revealed that he is satisfied with the performance of the team in their 2-1 loss to Shooting Stars, on Sunday, in a Matchday 3 encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The clash which was played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, saw the Mohammed Babaganaru-led side take an early lead.

Before Malomo Taofeeq scored a brace late on in the second half to secured the victory for the Oluwayo warriors. 

While speaking in an exclusive interview with BSNSports, on Tuesday, Legbara expressed that it was a good performance by the team against Shooting Stars.

"It was a good game, and we played well but were just unlucky to have suffered a defeat, " Legbara told BSNSports. 

"However, We are still trying to improve as a team, and I believe with time will start picking points on the road."

The former Lobi Stars midfielder also revealed that the lack of concentration at the end of the game caused the team. 

"Yes, I will say that we suffered a lack of concentration towards the end of the game, " he explained. 

"But, we have learnt our mistakes, and will continue to work on it in our upcoming games."

The Rivers State-born midfielder further said that the team will bounce back against Bendel Insurance this weekend. 

"Of course, it is going to be a tough game against Insurance because they have won two games in a row this season at home."

"But, I believe that playing at home will give us an extra advantage with our fans behind us, I'm sure we are going to win the game, "he concludes. 

Barry Legbara has made two League appearances for Gombe United this season, against Enyimba Int'l and Shooting Stars, and will be expecting to feature again this weekend against Bendel Insurance, on Sunday, at the Pantami Stadium.
