NPFL: Home Teams Dominate Matchday 30 As Rangers Hold Kwara United In Ilorin

Home teams enjoyed a strong outing on Matchday 30 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) as several sides secured victories on Sunday, while Rangers International battled to a goalless draw away to Kwara United in Ilorin, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

League leaders Remo Stars continued their impressive run with a 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United in Ikenne. 

Stanley Joseph broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute before Suleiman Dauda doubled the lead in the 83rd minute. 

Michael Ibe pulled one back for the visitors late in the game in the 88th minute, but it was not enough to deny the hosts maximum points.

At the Enyimba International Stadium, Enyimba secured a comfortable 2-0 win against Plateau United. 

Paul Odeh opened the scoring in the 56th minute before Chinedu Ufere added the second eight minutes later to seal the victory.

In Ibadan, Shooting Stars recorded a thrilling 3-2 victory over Wikki Tourists in one of the most entertaining games of the day. 

Sodiq Ibrahim gave the hosts the lead in the 16th minute, but Abba Musa equalised for the visitors in the 35th minute. Lucky Emmanuel restored Shooting Stars’ advantage just before halftime in the 44th minute. John Taiwo made it 3-1 in the 53rd minute before Tijani Al-meen reduced the deficit for Wikki Tourists in the 88th minute.

Meanwhile, Niger Tornadoes and Kano Pillars played out a goalless draw, while Kwara United were also held to a stalemate by Rangers International in Ilorin.

In Maiduguri, El-Kanemi Warriors shared the spoils with Katsina United following a 1-1 draw. 

Uche Collins put the hosts ahead in the 41st minute before Daddy Abdulrahaman equalised for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Barau FC defeated Abia Warriors 2-0, while Bayelsa United edged Warri Wolves 2-1.
