NPFL: Ikorodu City Thrash Wikki Tourists In Lagos

Nigeria Premier Football League side Ikorodu City F.C. recorded an emphatic 3-1 victory over Wikki Tourists F.C. in the final game of Matchday 36 played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ikorodu City made a bright start to the encounter and took the lead as early as the fourth minute through Farouk Salami.

The hosts doubled their advantage in the 18th minute when Abayomi Ayodeji found the back of the net to put Wikki Tourists under pressure.

Ikorodu City continued their dominance and added a third goal before the break after Joseph Arumala converted from the penalty spot in the 37th minute.

Wikki Tourists pulled one back in the 66th minute through Jonathan Mairiga, but it was not enough to stop the Lagos-based side from claiming maximum points.

The result further boosts Ikorodu City’s campaign as the NPFL season heads towards its closing stages.
