Sampson Adedeji

Former Super Eagles assistant coach Imama Amapakabo has left Nigeria Professional Football League club Abia Warriors, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The former Rangers International coach joined the Umuahia-based side two seasons ago and he was able to steady their ship despite having a bad start to life in the league.

Abia Warrior lost out to Otassolo FC on Sunday in an Aiteo Cup round of 64 fixture, which shocked football followers.

Imama left Abia Warriors on Monday following the expiration of his contract.

The 53-year-old gaffer made the headlines in 2016 After helping Rangers International of Enugu to the league title for the first time in 32 years.
