Wikki Tourists head coach, Abdu Maikaba, has described the point earned against Barau FC as a vital one for his side in their NPFL Matchday 11 encounter, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Bauchi-based club battled to a goalless draw with Barau FC at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, extending their unbeaten run to three matches.
Speaking after the game, Maikaba commended his players for their resilience and discipline throughout the encounter.
“It was important we were able to grab a point, which means a lot as far as the league is concerned,” the experienced tactician stated.
He added that the team would continue to improve as the season progresses.
“We’ll keep improving, strategize better, and ensure we perform even stronger in coming games,” he concluded.
The result leaves Wikki Tourists mid-table as they prepare for their next fixture against Ikorodu City.
