NPFL: Kano Pillars Declare Goalkeeper Emeka Onyia AWOL

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars has officially declared their goalkeeper, Emeka Onyia, absent without official leave (AWOL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In a statement released on Monday through the club’s media channels, Kano Pillars revealed that all efforts to contact Onyia have failed.

“Kano Pillars FC wishes to inform the general public, our esteemed supporters, and all stakeholders that our goalkeeper, Emeka Onyia, has been Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) from the team since March 2025,” the club announced.

“Despite several efforts by the club’s management and technical crew to reach out to him through various channels, there has been no communication or response from Emeka Onyia,” the statement added.
