NPFL: Kano Pillars Hit Katsina For Pre-season Tourney

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) newly promoted side, Kano Pillars will take part in a pre-season competition in Katsina from starting this weekend, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The tournament will run from September 30 to October 4.

Katsina United, Niger Tornadoes, Wikki Tourists, Doma United, El-Kanemi Warriors and Jigawa Golden Stars are the other teams that will participate in the pre-season tournament.

The tournament is aimed at intensifying the teams’ preparations for the new Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The competition winner will receive a cash price of N1m, while the runners-up will get N500,000.

Kano Pillars are unbeaten in their last four warm-up matches.

The Sai Masu Gida secured promotion to the NPFL after coming second during the NNL Super Eight playoffs in Asaba.
