NPFL: Katsina United Edges Enyimba In Five-Goal Thriller, Kano Pillars Snap Winless Run

Katsina United secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Enyimba in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 14 showdown in Ilorin on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The hosts took the lead in the 32nd minute through Jamilu Yusuf, heading into the break with a 1-0 advantage.

Uche Collins extended the lead six minutes into the second half, but Enyimba responded through Stanley Dimgba on the hour mark.

Just two minutes later, Collins struck again to restore Katsina United’s two-goal cushion. Enyimba pulled another back in the 64th minute via Issah Mohammed, but Katsina United held firm to claim the points.

Meanwhile, in Kano, Pillars ended their winless streak with a 2-1 victory over Ikorodu City at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium—marking their first win under new head coach Mohammed Babaganaru.

Rabiu Ali opened scoring in the third minute, before Olakunle Alaka made it 2-0 on the half-hour mark. Joseph Arumala pulled one back for Ikorodu City late in the first half, but the hosts held on till full-time.

Kano Pillars will now look to build momentum heading into their next fixture.
