NPFL: Kun Khalifa, Rivers United Secure Away Wins As Rangers Stay Top

Matchday 37 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) delivered thrilling encounters on Sunday as Kun Khalifa and Rivers United recorded impressive away victories, while Rangers International maintained their position at the top of the table, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
At the Umuahia Township Stadium, Kun Khalifa stunned Abia Warriors with a comfortable 2-0 away victory.
Uchechukwu Onuoha proved to be the hero for the visitors after scoring twice in the 3rd and 40th minutes to seal maximum points.
Rivers United also enjoyed success on the road after edging Wikki Tourists 3-2 in a thrilling contest, boosting their hopes as the season approaches its conclusion.
In Ibadan, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) secured a narrow 1-0 win over Barau FC courtesy of Lucky Emmanuel’s 41st-minute strike.
Nasarawa United defeated Plateau United 1-0 with Jofrank Istifanus netting the decisive goal in the 72nd minute.
Remo Stars came from behind to beat Bayelsa United 2-1.
Ofem Nneoyi gave Bayelsa United an early lead in the 5th minute before Alex Oyowah restored parity in the 40th minute. Victor Mbaoma then scored the winner in the 64th minute.
Veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali converted a stoppage-time penalty to hand Kano Pillars a 1-0 victory over Wolves.
League leaders Rangers International continued their strong run with a 2-1 victory over Bendel Insurance to remain firmly at the summit of the table.
Elsewhere, Kwara United defeated Enyimba 2-0, El-Kanemi Warriors and Niger Tornadoes settled for a goalless draw, while Katsina United thrashed Ikorodu City 4-1.
