The Matchday 17 of the Nigeria Premier Football League commenced on Saturday in Uyo with a game involving Dakkada FC and Lobi Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports

The game which was held at the Goodswill Akpabio stadium saw both sides seizing each other up in an end-to-end game

After a scoreless first half, Lanre Akinlade put Dakkada ahead early in the second stanza to put the host in firm control of the encounter.

The away side, then got a well-deserved penalty in the 64th minute and was well-converted by Elijah Ani to level up the game.

The host tried to steal the game towards the end of the game but the Lobi Stars defenders stood their ground to secure a vital away point.

The rest of the Matchday 17 games are scheduled for Sunday across the country.
