Lobi Stars head coach, Tony Bulus, has expressed confidence that the club will make a swift return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following their relegation, the Pride of Makurdi will now compete in the Nigeria National League (NNL) next season.

They are set to face Bendel Insurance in their final fixture of the current NPFL campaign.

Speaking after their matchday 37 encounter against Plateau United, Bulus emphasized that the team is determined to prove their quality despite the disappointing season.

“We are playing to show everyone that we are not a bad team,” he stated.

“Unfortunately, we’re in this situation, but you can see our style of play. We will come back stronger next season."

He added, “Relegation is not the end of the world. We’ll go to the NNL and return. Many teams have done the same.”

Lobi Stars have managed five wins, 10 draws, and suffered 22 defeats in 37 matches this season.
