Even though they suffered a massive defeat in the matchday 23 of the league, head coach of Lobi Stars Ibrahim Babaganaru still maintained the belief that the club will survive relegation this season, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The Markudi based club suffered a 3-0 demolition in the hand of Shooting Stars in a game played at the Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan.
Former Kano Pillars manager said despite spending few days with the team, he's been able to instil confidence into the place.
" "This is a match we plan to pick something, if not winning but at least a draw. To me, I'm surprised with the result, it was a very shock one.
We conceded cheap goals and most of our players were out due to muscle strain and I've exhausted my changes."
After about sixteen days in charge of the team and with four games so far as Lobi Stars new head coach, Baba Ganaru is optimistic that his team wouldn't relegate.
"I'm very optimistic, we are on course and we won't relegate. If you look at it, today is my 16th or 15th day with the team, there are so many improvements and sometimes it takes time for players to adapt to your philosophy.
As I said, we are on course, very optimistic and I will take the team out of relegation." He assured.
