NPFL: Majin Admits Niger Tornadoes Were Carried Away After Pillars Victory

Niger Tornadoes head coach, Mohammed Majin, has confessed that his team lost focus following their impressive away win over Kano Pillars, leading to their home defeat against Abia Warriors on Matchday 11 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Ikon Allah Boys stunned Pillars 2-0 in Kano last week but were brought back down to earth after a disappointing 2-0 loss in Minna.

“First of all, I think we were carried away by the victory against Pillars,” Majin admitted.

“We thought we could just ride over Abia Warriors. We were in control in the first 20 minutes, created chances, but failed to take them. The visitors capitalized on our defensive errors and scored two cheap goals.”

Despite the setback, the coach remains optimistic about the team’s chances in their next outing.

“What happened today is part of football. We went to Kano and got three points; now we’ll prepare well to see what we can get in Bauchi against Wikki Tourists,” he concluded.
