Nasarawa United head coach, Abubakar Arikya, has insisted his team fully deserved their victory over Shooting Stars following their Matchday 16 clash on Monday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Solid Miners secured all three points thanks to a solitary strike from Moyi in the 65th minute, sealing a narrow but vital home win.

Reacting after the game, Arikya praised his side’s performance while also acknowledging the quality of their opponents.

“We deserved to win because we played better, without undermining the efforts of our opponents who gave us a run for our money,” Arikya said.

 The Nasarawa United manager added that attention has now shifted to their next fixture, a keenly anticipated derby against neighbours Plateau United next weekend.
